I am yet to use them but I just bought a bulk buy of these guys so I could use a 2s lipo as an rx pack:

Just in case you never thought of it...
If you use a 2s life you can use a standard servo. Otherwise you can always put a bec between your servo and rx pack to run standard servos. HV servos are cool though, some of them are pretty fast at 8.4v!

That's actually what I'm goin with, a 6.6v life battery and a savox standard high torque servo. Should be here any day now. Gonna try and keep the wiring as clean and simple as possible.

I have plenty or regular servo's and life packs, but I liked the extra torque of this thing on 2s lipo and not to mention its waterproof, not just water resistant or sealed. I don't care what colour they are lol. Comin along mate, looking forward to starting mine some time in 8 weeks or so.

Thanks Alfa.Because this is my first large high volt twin build I didn't want to break the bank with expensive components and use them for my learning curve. I'm using tp motors for this one. If Im not satisfied with them I can always upgrade later on.

Thanks nata, ya 5692 780 on 12 cell. I think this setup will give some respectable speeds.

730kv is what I'm installing on 12s as well you have to make some serious mounts for those they are sooo heavy makes my 4082's look like they are on a bad diet :)

Alot of people is talking about eagle tree?? something I'm looking into myself. Then later some telemetry :) to make sure nothing is heating up as I'm pasing by @ 110mph LOL well 0mph at present ...

This is going to be a nice boat. It should move well on 12s too.
I like that rudder bruiser. I was looking at them and thinking of getting one for my 41" cat. After seeing it on your SD I think it might be a bit on the large side for my boat. I will probably end up welding a little extra on the end of my 130mm rudder, but I might try it first.

There are some ESCs that data log...I don't recall if you already have ESCs or not.

Hi keith, and thank you. Not sure if you already have the dimensions on the rudder but I can get them for you monday if needed. I think this would look sweet on your cat! Would have to mill down the rudder is all. If memory serves me correct the mounting pad is 31mm. No esc's yet. Ones with the data logging would be perfect. Was gonna go with a pair from Ben.
