FE VS-1 conversion by LiPo Power

Just got the boat and will start converting it to FE.
Never did such a work and I have no shop that I can do this at and much money to spent on professional tools.
Not sure how it will look like on the end but heck with it, let’s rock....
On the pictures:
Making room for the battery and installing walls.
This area will not have the cover. It will stay open with velcro only holding the battery down.
Iphone box is holding the walls in place tite so the glue can cure properly.

Extra cap installed just in case. I will also water seal the top of cap and the wires going to ESC

So finish up that piece of junk and bring it to Boxwood Saturday/Sunday so we can see what it can do. For $100.00 I can loan you my OS flex cable for a few runs.

Sorry, winter project. Needs to be done nice unlike some of them out there...
My boats are in the long winter sleep now, no go to pond anymore this season....
Thanks for the flex but I will get the real ones from Kris, only $350.00, custom made for this unit and his FE conversion adapter kit.
That way I will only need one installed and one in my tool box, just in case....
But hey, you can still get your piece of junk out there....and few flex shafts, just in case....

Got my servo installed and wondering how to cut the plexi glass to make the top cover.
Could anyone give me suggestion of what is the best way to cut this part?

ive actually found a dremel with router style cutting bit works really well.

Score it with an knife and then snap it off. Works well.

Good idea, just like the glass cutter with diamond wheel in its edge...
Will this give me a clean straight cut?
I guess I will still need to use sandpaper to do fitting adjustments....

It will be reasonably clean, but will require some smoothing as they can produce sharp edges.
