So Ben calls me a few weeks ago and asks if Id like a really fun prioject to work on. Sure, who doesnt!? Apparently this hull was shipped to a customer and was really beat up during the delivery process. Really beat up. he sent pics explaining the damage and I too felt it was repairable. I went ahead and trusted Ben it could be repaired and bought the hull. Needless to say Ive been pretty worried.
It arrived yesterday, beat up was an understatement, but, its fiberglass,it can be fixed.
After about 30 minutes of interior lamination and 2 hours of body work today, shes lookin real good. My original plan was to swap over a gas set up I have in a 52" cat that I dont really care for the way it runs and put it all in this hull. then got to thinkin, if it doesnt work in this hull, thats a lot of holes and vents to patch to convert it to FE. So, its going FE.
Im going to start out w/ a single power plant. 5692, cc2028 or one of Bens 5692s. 8S to 10S. Ill aquire parts as I can to complete it as a twin later down the road.
This is going to be a very slow build. Very slow, but I was excited about the hull and the progress I made on it in just a few hours.
Heres some shots of its arrival yesterday
