Will do, Make a wake.. I just finished helping my son set up another quad copter.. He's into these things.. and then its off to the boat. We just got dumped on with 16 inches of snow saturday into sunday so boating is out for a while.. Lost power for a while and just got it back... I have to start somewhere.. what would you recommend for motors and speed control? I'm looking to keep cost down on this one.. Looking for good speed, mid 30's would be good..

I dont know how much farther you can keep the cost down than the 16 bucks i spent for each motor..............brand new too! Crazy cheap for a decent motor in my book

Speedo's were only 34 bucks apiece - http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._Boat_ESC.html
and batts a paltry 23 each - http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html

you ARE a dawg! Now it might be time to follow your lead - I never really liked the EVX2 set up as it was in there. Looks like I have a Christmas list for me started..."Look good doin' it"

I use EVX's in land rigs.................even the marine version..............i just pull off the rubber cooling thingy...................they are great ESC's for 12-14 cell nimhs or 4s lipos. Since the hull is certainly "limited" in speed i'm thinking low 40's would be my goal............................we'll see.NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

Mid 40's or anything close to that will be perfect. I don't expect it to go any faster, I was just hoping it would get out of the lower 30's.. I have a lot of experience with fast r/c, although ground and air based.. water will be my next challenge.. I love to push the limits of things that were not designed to go very fast.. LOLComment

Some more done............been a bit busy so a little on the slow side for this build.
1st pic - Motor mounts back in and larger diameter brass tubes now installed
2nd pic - I used the stock transom holes but had to bore them out a bit, still used the stock rubber gaskets(stretched just a tad) for sealing the holes around the tubes, looks clean.
3rd pic - New brass tubes extend out a little farther than stock due to the new steel u-joints being a few mm shorter, 5mm bearings installed.
4th pic - 5mm i.d. and 8mm o.d. bearings popped in tightly................like it!NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=
