    Mike's P-Limited PT Sealth pictures

Here you guys go... Sorry, this is well over due... Thanks to all who sent me pictures of their boats while I was in the frantic process of building.

I still have some fine tuning to do with weight placements, rudder length, prop tweaking.... yada, yada, yada. Right from the start this boat has been a contender. Phil's hulls are very nice and drive well.

    * the boat has 9-10oz of lead IN the sponson tips (4.5-5 in each tip)
    * I also found in Canada on a larger course it needed more in the front. Another 4oz total 2 on each tip (lead ON the tips)
    * I have since put some lead inside the hull near the CG 6oz total
    * RTR with batteries it weights 6lbs and 12.5oz
    * I have been running a slightly modded M445 and an ABC H5. H5 is my fav, but is at the limit of the motor and AquaCraft controller. EagleTree is showing the boat topping out a 55mph and averaging 90amps with 150 spikes.
    * Next spring, I plan on trying some mod H5's, mod H4's, and Oct 1640

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Very nice build. What turnfin is that?

I keep thinking the ABC 1816 3 blade may be a good spec prop.

Thanks for the kind words. ABC has alot of newer props that should work well with our FE stuff. The problem is finding the time necessary to balance and sharpen all of those props just to find out the boat doesn't like it!

Mike - after you added more weight up front, where does it now balance measured from the transom?

My CG is very near the 16" to 16.5" mark... (Its right at the sponson transom)

If you look closely I have added weight near the CG to minimize the boat blowing over. In most sport hydros the boat will "bounce" all the way down the straight when they have too much weight up front. Mine was starting to do that so I had to change where I was adding weight.

Sorry, I never answered your question. Turnfin is a Virgina Craftsman (Dick Tyndal), one of the best on the market. Be prepared to wait though, he doesn't work real fast.

Weird, somehow one of the pictures got replaced with my old UL-1... (nevermind got it fixed now)

Anyhow, thanks to everyone for the nice comments.

Shooter, we need to get you and Fred out racing next year!

Hello Mike - would you (or anyone) mind taking some pics showing how you attach Velcro hold-down battery straps to either the hull or whatever holds the batts?

                            Thanks.

Mike, how wide is the hull on the inside where the batteries go and how deep is it in the battery location??
