    33" Godspeed Catamaran Hull Build

So, bought this hull w/hardware + motor/esc here on the OSE forums.

I guess I should build it, right?

I could use some suggestions on a power system for it. Just not sure if I want to run the electronics that came with it or go with a big Leopard motor or even a Castle powerplant.

What would it take to get this hull up past 60, maybe even 70?

There is room in the sponsons for twin motors (with some cutting to clear the gap at first), but money is a big issue for me in my builds, so I'm not sure if that'll be possible. There is only room to sneak 1 2s pack (probably up to 6000mah) at a time into the sponsons, but I could wire 2 in parallel on each side and then run each pair in series, or even all 4 in series for 8s I bet.

I've already mounted the strut and rudder for fitment. I'll need to build a transom reinforcement and epoxy it in place still. Then redrill the holes and probably have to get some longer hardware, we'll see.

The stuffing tube kinked when I tried to make the bends I needed with my tubing bender, so I need to order a new tube. No worries, as a fiberglass or carbon motor mount was on my needs list anyway for this build & I can just add it to my order.

    Here are some preliminary photos:

If anyone wants to trade me a nice sport hydro of some kind for this cat before it's all built, please let me know. I'm already building a Sprintcat and would prefer to try a hydro instead of a second cat. But I do like this hull alot and will be happy to build it otherwise. Just throwing that out there before I get too deep into this and decide I have to keep it for sure :p

On a quick mock-up, a 4074 size seemed to fit just fine under the hatch/canopy shape. So I'll shoot for that.
I'm putting this build on the side burner though, not much motivation for me at this time.

If anyone's interested in the hull, let me know and shoot a price my way.

I haven't heard that they've been "coming apart"... I've simply just heard that they could use some reinforcement, but any hull that you're going to go fast with should be reinforced quite a bit anyhow.

It's a cheaper hull than some of them out there. And as such, I think (& hope) that people realize it'll need a little extra effort & reinforcing when building if you're planning to put some power in it. Common sense

sorry I totally worded that wrong..
I've heard these hulls come apart at any speeds over 35-40mph
