haha... good luck. thats all I can give ya. Nah, I used bent tip needle nose pliers. Just put a very, very small dab of handsoap on the inside of the tubing and it will slip right on. Once you get it, back flush it from the inside end of the tubing and it will rinse all the soap out.

Should I try to scuff the decals before clearing them?Comment

No dont scuff the decals. If I understand it correctly, you scuffed the silver before you applied the decals that are on it now correct? if so, thats all you need to do. then you can clear it whenever.Comment

Thank ya sir

That hull looks really good in silver Gimp!! I like it! Looks like you got the seem smoothed out perfectly too! I just finished mudding/sanding mine tonight, seem looks pretty good so far, hopefully i'll be shootin' some primer on it in the next week or 2, mine is just a weekend project for the winter. I almost wish i did have mine ready to run tho, weather is incredible for this time of year in NY, i got to run my Spartan today (had issues tho), and heading back to the pond in the morning to try again!Comment

Looks awesome! I agree that though not "conventional", the Geico seems looks good. That color would of looked great with the Amsoil stickers Scott sent me a while back. I still might go that route with this new Geico hull I'm getting. Found some really good silver metallic pearl that I've been dying to use.
Then again a boat painted like the one Alpha posted would look sweet too! Maybe in spring when I get to build a cat all by my self, Scott, will appreciate what I can do with a boat. I know it will never look as good as the stuff he turns out. Maybe more years and builds under my belt and I will be near his level.

You mean Yoda,,, yeah we'll all get that good at building one day then he'll have to worry!!! LOL.
Gimp if those are the PB Geico decals if you scuff them the ink on the decals would probly have a smear look to them, just carefully spray over them, the paint will run on them easyer then on the scuffed paint because they are smooth,Comment

Thanks Jerry. I'll make sure to do 2 very light coats to start out. I have 2 cans so it shouldn't be an issue. You mean Yoda,,, yeah we'll all get that good at building one day then he'll have to worry!!! LOL.

I noticed the pink "Miss" is kind of lost on the silver base in the pictures. It actually stands out quite a bit in person. Interesting that the camera didn't pick it up as well.Comment

I was able to get most of the hatch decals on. Once I get the windshield I can do the canopy hatch decals and lay some clear.
