    Red Twin Mono

    Hi guys

here is my latest project: The red twin mono

    Hull: Deltaforce Twinjet
Hardware: mainly HK and Venom EKOS
Motor and electronics: not yet decided, will buy when the build get further

So far I have got the hull and hardware and have installed the stringer.....

Next will be extending the rudder. I'll be using a piece of carbon fibre for the extension. Concerning the rudder blade should it be behind the prop?Any suggestions?

Please feel free to comment and suggestions are welcome. I have built a number of boats but this is my first twin

The boat is not for racing but just bash around and the cool factor of twin motor

    Cheers

      Thanks a lot.

Got the stringers mounted and next is the rudder. Will add a carbon fibre extension extension sothat the rudder blade is behind the props.......

          Hi RCnut

Waoh very nice clean build! Have you ran the boat yet? What was it like? And are you using counter rotating props?

Mine will be and I'll be using 32mm props. One thing I am concerned with is the height of the stringer. Because of the height of the stringers in relation to the bottom of the transon I guess that there might be some cavitation...... Anyway some testing will tell......

I have been working on the rudder extension and will post some pics later.

What hardware and motor are you using?

I'm thinking of using twin outrunner for mine.....

          Cheers

              Hi JCAustralia,
Thanks. I am still working on this project and haven't run it yet. I am running Turnigy 3650 3300kv inrunners, Turnigy 4000ma 3s 40-50c batts, Turnigy 120a escs. Randy Naylor of BBY Racing custom made the motor mount, rudder mount, flex shafts, and turn fins. I also plan on running 32mm props but no counter rotators. Randy runs at our local pond on the weekends and is a great source of info on setting up boats. He told me not to run counter rotating props on this hull because of the vee bottom. I am redoing my turn fins tonight to get the proper angle. I still need water jackets for the motors and to purchase props. But plan to run it in the next couple of weeks. Your rudder extension looks great it's cool seeing another vee bottom twin build. Keep us updated.
