Aluminum Motor mount For a 1521 Neu

I am making a motor mount for my Neu 1521 and I plan to make a three piece mount out of .125" T6061 aluminum stock and angle. I am making it three piece just because I think it will be easier to take the motor out without removing it from the mount itself. Do you guys thing .125" is strong enough? I also plan to use this for the turn fin bracket.

Here is what I am planning.

.125 should be plenty thick. You might want to support the back end also.

Thx for the reply Steve. I was planning on a wood cradle for the back end of the motor.
