    Mean Machine cc1515 2200kv, sf200, 4s2p 2nd try

After giving up on the 1717 I've taken some advice from a few of you guy's and have got the boat ready for the water now fitted with a castle 1515 2200kv motor, swordfish 200amp Esc and will run it on 4s2p. After struggling to calibrate the sf200 I found the mr3000 I had been using with the 1717 was not working correctly so I'm now using a mr200 (kinda make me want to try it again but it's changed now). I've put a x445 prop at the end and everythings looking good for a run on Saturday, my wifes taking the kids to the zoo and leaving me home to run the business so I guess the business will be ran via the mobile phone. lol.

Here a few pic's of the new set up

    Looks the goods.

    Um.
This may be a moment, but a gps encased in a CF shell is like taking action photos through shade cloth. the image distorted.
ziplok bag, taped to the deck....

end of day, wasnt this for the kiddies ?
Id ring and get them back before your missus signs them over to the zoo !

I was wondering if the gps may have been working correctly I'm thinking of putting the boat in my car with the gps on and the hatch closed and taking it for a drive, I could compare speeds from the tom tom to the garman. I might have to work out how to use the eagle tree system properly, that way I could tuck the gps up under the front. I've gone off the idea of lettint the kids drive a boat at this point of there lives, my 6 year old was driving the Merv the other day and ran over a magpie so his hopes of dodging ducks are very slim.
p.s. It's not the kids I'm worried about getting locked up at the Zoo

strap the boat on top of the roof.... the metal ceiling is a good insulator ..

Ive not been to the zoo in decades for that very same reason.........

well there you go, I just hit 115kph with this boat, the garmin read 115kph, the Tom Tom read 115kph and the 4x4 speedo read 124kph
At least this shows me that the garmin is working correctly inside the hull, even sitting on the front seat of the 4x4, that rules out that speed error.

                not so.
a long run time in one direction may well allow the gps to collate data and offer a speed.
On the pond.. rapid direction changes and short brief straight runs may not offer acquisition of data to provide a true speed.
Use the Eagle Tree.. stick the mini gps module outside th hull.. and see what it says then
                W

ps.. my 4WD speedo says 100 when gps says 113 !
                But Ive high profile tyres..
