hull angle is probably a good start, they shouldn't be in the water much if at all in the straights.

Thanks for the input Boaterguy. I'm finished with the turn fins. They arent exactly even with the hull angle but close...right or wrong it's already done. I ordered ESC, servo etc... today. I am going to run the 1800KV ProBoat in it but i picked up a Feigao 540XL the other day because it was to good to pass up Maybe to much but it'll be fun to try anyway!IMG00037-20110822-0633.jpg

        Sanijr,
As you see I fell down on the job and quit posting. In short the DF26 has been alot of fun. I went with the proboat motor which seems to be the best fit on 2S 2P. I tried the Aquacraft UL-1 as well but put it back in the Hydro. The prop I like the best so far in chop is the Prather 220. The speedo is over kill but right now it has a Turnigy T180 but plan on putting the proboat ESC in it shortly. here's a couple of picks of the inside. Looks good Clueless1!,

How is the water pickup on that stinger/rudder assmebly? Mine was not impressive and I have since modified it by cutting a two sided grove on the rudder. Love the hardware on that thing!

Speedmaster hardware fits the bill. No issues with the water pick up...I can see water coming out of the outlet so its all good there.

here's a little more humorous vid of me throwing my boat in and it landing wrong side up. My girlfriend had a good time with being able to catch the mishap on camera.

Very nice job on your hull Clueless, I just happened to see your build. Try running without the turnfins, I took mine off my DF29 and gained some speed and found it more stable. If the turn fin is to long it will drag since these boats are such low profile you almost have to cut them down to prevent them from contacting the water on the straight a ways.

This is still my favorite running hull and will take a beating.

Thanks alot ksm! I thoroughly enjoyed my first build and love the way it rides in a little chop! I hadn't considered taking the turn fins off but I will definetly remove them and might try to run her after work. I am almost done building my new Aeromarine 31 scorpion hull that should rock!

                  Hey Todd,

So you are running the 1800 rpm/V motor, a pair of 2S Lipos in parallel?, T180 ESC with a 220 prop. What are your estimated speeds? And any idea on amp draw, temps. (I assume temps are cool since you seem to be running at the lower end of the component's capacity....)

Oh and by the way. Cool vids! Looks sweet! Especially with the simple decalling.

the batts are in series. with the 220 speeds are in the low 40's(43'ish) I'm not sure what the amp draw is because I have nothing to gauge it with. an m442 around 46mph.temps are under 100. The only down side with the proboat it appears is the wire gauge is small and they've gotten hot when I've gotten stupid with prop selection. Thanks for props!
