    Mean Machine von Spongebob Twin

My girlfriend wanted to have a boat to run around when she is at the lake so I am going to build this one up for her! It is a water damaged Mean Machine hull and it is going to be yellow with Spongebob all over it!
Hopefully if I get her into boats now she I will get a lot less grief than I would in the future when we are out of school.
I will be running a couple castle Ice 100a on 6s each and two 3126 1600kv suppo heli motors.
The tunnel in the middle in front of the servo will have part of the hull replaced with some thin aluminum and the esc's will be heat sinked to that through the hull so there will be no cooling tubes to the esc's but they will still be cooled from the water/air hitting the aluminum at speed or when it is stopped. This will be a test of how well it works for my next Genesis.
I am going to make everything then fiberglass/paint/fill holes at the end.

Water will hit it when it is going slow and in the turns and there will be plenty of air hitting it when it is at speed.

That idea has been tried with little success in the past, but the basic idea is sound. The problem has been getting adequate heat transfer from the hot parts to the plate. For efficient cooling of the motor there is nothing but fans or water. I hope you can make it work!

Thanks Jay, The esc's will be directly on the plate with a little heat sink compoun in betweel them. On the back of the esc's I will have a plate that is bolted to the plate that is in the boat so they will be held in pretty tight to the plate so hopefully that is good enough.
And I kinda lied about "no" tubing, I am still going to cool the motors the old fashoned way.

Painted and got the esc mounting system all worked out. That middle picture looks like an Easter Island head or something!

Well the esc cooling works like a charm! They came in and were almost the same temp as when they went out which is the coolest these esc's have ever been after a run. The top of the esc's away from the fets were warmer than the bottom where the plate is so I think I got it right the first try!
