Thanks, the size of your boat is right in the 3s "zone"................you could go 4s however with a 16-1800kv motor if you have a bunch of 2s packs you would like to utilize.NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

I have come up with a challenge for my boat that will require it to run for a long time so running a lower KV motor on higher voltage would make sense to help things run cooler. The problem is that 2S or 4S batteries are no good in my crawlers so now I have to spend a bunch of money on dedicated batteries and another charger that will charge 2 batteries at a time.
This boat was meant to be something fun to take with us to the lake on camping trips so I wasn't going to dump a ton of money into it. But then again it's only money right.
A package showed up last night from hobby planet, Cody's new boat. I couldn't find another one with the 2.4 radio but he really likes the driver figures so the 26 RS was the best choice for him.

Hopefully my package from OSE shows up today.Comment

Without all the "new charger and batt" stuff...................i would just go with 3s and use two of your packs in parallel for 4100mah.NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

I think that's the right way to go for now. I'll work my way up over the winter and maybe have my wife and kids get me a new charger for christmas......
I tend to convince myself to dive headfirst into stuff so this self-restraint thing is tough.Comment
