Got it today. 3 coats of shi@*y paint nitro. Had to pull the tank and nitro mounts. Lots of sandin and HW mounting. Seems like a tough boat. 100% CF. Plans are a CC/Neu 1515 1y, on 4s2p 10000mah. speedmaster mono strut and rudder.




Also....I am angry that someone would paint over a black basecoat with metalflake! I found it under 3 layers of paint on the top deck. It is beautiful, and useless. You can see it maybe just a bit in the photo. CF battery plate rear mounted also. Bottom is stock red, unpainted.

Make sure the nose of that hull is nice and secure/sealed up, glued up well, what have you .
They have been known to split apart up at the nose when taking a hard dunk.

Ha... Yup. Ive done it a few times before! Boater on a budget... I actually have to fab the entire hatch. All sorts of odd radii and angles to figure out. Mostly will be part spare Rico hatch cobbled together and foam. I think it will be a fast oval ripper!

Carl, this one is built TOuGH! NO doubt. It is a super heavy layup. Comparable to my Rico. I think that problem you are referring to was a very early problem with this type hull.
This thing is a tank compared to my Delta Force hulls!

I've owned 2 of these - a heavy nitro layup from new, and a lightweight layup that I was the 3rd owner of. The heavy layup had carbon, weighed 1,200g bare and was solid as a tank! The light one is all glass, 800g bare and susceptible to damage. I kept the light one and it flies using a P-Spec system.

Yours will be much better suited to the power you're planning. Keep the strut low and let her rip! They corner like nothing else.

Paint is curing. Hardare has all been mounted. Speedmaster .21 rudder cut down and mono strut.No tabs, and starting with no fins. Waiting on my new .187" cable from OSE. I mocked it up with a right hand lay that I had laying around.

Better pics. HW mounted and sealed up. Need to run cooling lines yet. I have some aluminum tubing I'll be mounting so I dont have sloppy lines everywhere. She's HEAVY with 10000mah worth of 4s in there!
I have a spare Rico mono hatch that I'll be modding to fit this. It should look good and keep that super sleek look this hull has.
