My boat arrived friday in perfect condition with everything i ordered from benjamin at fightercatracing.com I am very pleased with the boat and hardware. i got a chance to do a little work on it this weekend. Mounted the stingers, rudder and made some rough templates for the bulkead, transom plates and motor mounts. Waiting on the carbon fiber cloth, 1mm and 2mm sheets to arrive this thursday so i can have everything i need to get underway with the build. Im using the fightercat rudder, stingers, .187 wire drives, cooling blocks, 80hv esc's and bec's. Going to run the boat with Scorpion 3026 1600kv outrunners on 6 cell 5000mah 40c lipos. Purchased some x442's CR and 2 x447's CR.boat 5.jpgboat 1.jpgboat 2.jpgboat 3.jpgboat 4.jpg Going to make sleds for the batteries and an electronics box out of CF as well. This is my first twin build so any suggestions and advice would really help. Thanks again, Charles

Got the carbon fiber in the mail today! So i got start to work this afternoon and got the bulkhead, motor mounts and transom plates cut out. Gotta do some fine tuning and sanding due to the fact that i made the templates before i had the cloth in the hull. Laid cloth for the first time and am pretty happy with the results. took a little time in prep, but was worth it. Still need to finish the sleds and electronics cover but those can wait till everything else is installed. more work tomorrow. thanks

Very nice build so far!!! You should make a couple more sets of the bulkheads and sell a set to me!!!! LOL...

make sure when you program the ESC's that you have the Fly sky radio throttle channel REVERSED.
Which FS radio is it? GT2, GT3 or GT3B?

My suggestion is a pvc boat stand. They are a big help during the build, as well as storage and transportation, obviously. Nice build too. Looking good. Is there a video coming when its done?

it's a gt3b controller. Ya, I had some trouble setting it up in my other boat. Throttle and abs braking setup threw me for a loop. Eventually figured it out and it worked great. Awesome controller for the price!

thanks for the kind words. I really need to make a run to home depot for PVC pipe asap. I will get video as soon as it touches water for the first time! Hopefully sometime next week!

IMG_3944.jpgIMG_3934.jpgGot some more work done last night. Made some stinger shims out of 2mm carbon fiber to try and get the transom as close to square as possible. This will help with trim of the stingers and the angle of the drive shafts. Finished up the motor mounts and did an early moch up to make sure everything was snug. Hoping to get the stinger in and motors mounted by the end of the night. Also got the transom plates and bulkhead set. Next step for now is the rudder plate and install. thanks for looking.
