    Hor 25" Rocket for fun

Brought this awhile ago for some fun on our club pool, been awhile since i played around with a mono so any pointers would be great LOL
Iv reinforced the hull and hatch with CF for extra strength, originally was gonna run a 3s setup, tried and wasnt happy so iv rebuilt it all and changed everything now to 4s
    So setup is now:
    Leopard 3674,2200kv & cooling jacket
    Swordfish 200amp ESC
    2 x 2s,7.4v,5000mah,30c Lipo,runnin 2 in series for 4s,14.8v
38mm CF prop (will prop up acording to temps)
5.5mm gold bullets on motro wires
6mm gold bullets on batt wires
    Hor 4mm strut,flexi
    Hor CF motor mount
    Hor alloy servo mount
    Hor 95mm rudder
Hor 50mm turn fins, mounted as high as poss on the transom
    Standard 3kg servo

so all in all should be a fast, fun reliable setup

Charging batts so gonna take for a run and see how it is and do abit of setting up,will get a vid or 2
The only thing i havnt done/got is trim tabs, but im hoping to set it up without them,if it needs them ill get some, also just need to make a CF tray for esc and rx to sit on
Once im happy with how its running and setup ill strip down and give it a new paint job ;D

Hi guys i ran the rocket for the 1st time and wow this should be heaps of fun once dialled in and need to get some trim tabs as is chimewalked when trying to hit full throttle,i didnt couldnt hit full throttle no way was it possible.
Anyways 1st run was on 38mm CF prop, cavitation was a big issue but went well once it got a bite LOL then more throttle it started chimewalking, brought it in and temps were as cold, nothing even warm.
2nd run was on 40mm Cf prop again cavitation but not as bad, once going it was fun trying hit full throttle, chimewalking.brought it again nothing barely warm.
Hit LVC couldnt understand why, then it hit me,cant remember if id actually charged it OOOOPS as all the other batts were fine.

      any advice would be great
      1st run

      2nd run

3rd run was with fresh batts and cg moved slightly further forward was running good till the end,but again, temps were cool so a bigger prop could still be used.

4th run was 4214 bronze prop and what a difference it made but was more unstable LOL.

Iv ordered the trimtabs and some hatch tape,so will keep you posted on progress

Yup, it needs tabs! HAHA! She'll be a blast! 4s2p would give more stability too.

Hey guys, just got back from run,the boat ran better but still needs some tweaking,i now have trim tabs fitted and i also adjusted the strut to 0*
The only issue i was having the most was the back trying to jump round,i moved the batts back to see if this made a difference,it did but then it became flighty i only moved the batts back about 10mm so just trying to work out whats the best way forward, only manged to get vid of last run thought id see what sort of run times ill get out of it,about 6.30 mins,i didnt hit the lvc but could clearly see the drop off, still didnt hit full throttle fully so didnt get a chance to wind it out but theres still time for that.
But all in all what a blast this little boat is:D

hey guys iv decided since it only needs minor adjustments now,iv now stripped it all down for paint.
Iv ordered the Swordfish 120 esc and 2 more 2s,5000mah,30c lipos and a through the hull cooling inlet so they should be here in the next day or 2.
Gonna fetch some more vinyl tomorrow and do some more decals.
the colour not quite what i expected but looks good, just awaiting for paint to fully harden then will post some pics and see what you guys reckon
