    Villain: Version 7.0

Well I have been messing with this boat on and off for a few months so I thought I would start a build thread. This was my first boat back when I was ten. It is in terrible shape and nothing except for the hull will (and not all of it) will be used. I have changed this thing around so much over the years I couldn't bring myself to throw it away so I decided to rebuild it and try to make as many parts as possible. I am using a Tacon 4074 2000kv (I can't see a diff between the leopard!) on 6s or 3s depending on if I want to go fast or run for a while. I am going to throw some fiberglass in there since this thing is ABS.

Inside is fiberglassed! I also got some small k&s angle today to see if I can make some bigger steps in the hull so it might stop leaning to one side at speed so i can actuall make this thing go fast without doing a barrel roll like it has before. When I was 13 I put two 18v drill motors in the stock setup and it was VERY heavy with the 18nihm cells and kinda dredged trough the water and I did something very similar to get it to get up out of the water. Hopefully this thing will be able to be called the "Spartan Slayer"!

this thing is gonna be nice, and fly on 6S! what ESC are you using?
quick question- is the lack of steps what causes it to roll?

The lack of steps isn't the direct reason but it always leans to one side or the other at speed. I went a little under 40mph with the last setup I had and it would roll easily if it hit a wave. I am thinking a bigger step on the farthest out sides of the V will direct the side spray down more lift the sides so it will run strait in the water.

Edit: and I have a T120 and a couple 200amp suppos laying around and I am gonna order a couple 80amp hv esc's soon fow another boat if I need anything beefier!

how many suppo's? I have one but I'm sure it won't last long, I may need another.

Two, I think I am going to use the 120 as long as it stays cold enough and the two suppo's will probably be going in a boat I have been procrastinating on.

This thing is almost done! This is a good reminder of how much easier it is to make a single motor as apposed to my last two builds. (the 47" twin and the 55" quad) I used a marker to mark where to cut the fiberglass and is made some blue spots in the hull but I think I could punt it now without cracking the hull!

Hell yea! Your Villains are much prettier tho!
I don't even have the hatch for mine anymore.
I might need some advise later on if I can't get it to go in a strait line!

Well this is pretty much done! All I need is a little velcro for the batteries, which I have 100% less of what I thought.

Edit: I went ahead and added 2 water pickups so the motor and esc will both have one. I might be running this on 3s3p so if I have a long runtime in 12' tall waves I want eveything to stay coool.

I ran this one today! On 3s and a k45, It was running in the low to mid thirties with everything very cold which it perfect for running it across the lake next to my dad's 30ft pontoon boat! The pack was only down to ~3.85v/cell after a ~6min run. Trim wise it ran strait and had some wobbles at speed. 6s should be pretty nice! :):)

Also i mistook the water comming out of the watercooling outlets as part of the prop spray. I think i am going to be able to cool everything very effectively when it is running 3s2p across the lake.
