    P.I. 24" Hydro build....

I am going to start a new project this week sometime.. It is a Performance International 24" Hydro.... I will power it with a SV27 motor and esc.... .150-3/16 f/shaft, Fullers hardware, and Octura M645 prop.... I am also going to use a SV27 motor mount and Aquacraft Hydro turn fin... I really like the thickness of this hull, much like Aeromarine.. It will be very durable and wont need any carbon reinforcing like other hulls I have seen!

It come with stringers and a transome board, all glassed in.. Here are a few picture of the bare hull..

I have had a H&M Bud Viper, they are about the same size. This hull seems to be twice as thick, everywhere!! Very tough!! I am mounting up the turn fin and motor mounts as we speak!

I am not sure on the technical name, but it is the same make up as a Aeromarine hull.... I guess cloth and epoxy? Yes, I do have calipers...

I was wondering If you could measure the thickness of the lay up around the opening? You have me wondering... Aso where did you buy this hull? The cloth kinda looks like a checker board pattern.

No checkers from what I can tell.. Here is a link to the guy I got it from on ebay... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=110202565526

Yes, they are out of New Orleans, seem like good guys just no web site yet and response to emails are 4-5 days... If you are in that area look up Blackhawk Hobbies....

                      Hope this helps...

Cloth would be more of a cross pattern and mat would be alot of chopped strand running every direction. What Is the thickness of the hull?

                          Thanks,
                          Derrick

I got the Hydro done, finally!! Thanks to DOBY!!!

I am trying a 2700kv watercooled motor and 70Amp esc (waterproofed and watercooled) from Scott at Skunkworks!! Hope to run it tomarrow... Going with X437 and 2/ 7.4V lipos in series....

I ran it first with SV27 esc and Ammo 2300 motor, with the X437 on 2/7.4V lipos.... It ran very solid!! Est. 36-40mph.. Very fun little boat... With this set-up, I ran 4-5 min... temps were 107 on the esc caps, 117 on the end bell of the motor, 122 on the lipos...

Hope to get some video this week!
