the factory stuff runs ok!!!! this boat has been done many times by many different people i would recomend you go to the top off the page and use the search,,for genesis and you will find many threads off many different setups that work realy well in it as for me im still runing it stock with 2x2s 40c 5000 lipos hitting around 34mph all factory,,,good enough for me wright now.. -
How about one of these?,i plan on using one in my new 38" cat once i get the moulds finished.

That Turnigy T 600 outrunner 1400kv is a very powerfull motor & will swing big props so a good choice. Its still a cheap motor at $60 but they have doubled in price from a couple of weeks ago when i looked at getting one at $30. Martin.Comment

I think 6 cells may be a tad high for that motor(HK 3674 1660kv), you may want to consider this motor OSE is now offering. Its a 4 pole 4074, try it in the 3Y version on 6s:

6S is ok for the Genesis with a single motor. Choose a 1500kV motor, LEOPARD 4082 2Y 1500 Kv/rpm per volt or 4D 1450 Kv/rpm per voltComment
