Was looking around and i found the Proboat miss elam. To me, it looks like exactly the same hull.. the only difference i saw was the back right and left edges dont have a half of a hexagonal shape.

But this one does? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyGTfIDlI7Q Look at about 1:20, that hull is identical.

Thats almost exactly what i was planning on running, and she looks great. Hope mines as good Got my CF in today and some expoxy, gotta pick up some thick CA to join the hulls

what about epoxy to join? it's sandable and will seal nicely

Well I was just following Randy's instructions at BBY. He does ABs hulls all the time and he uses thick CA i think. I've got plenty of epoxy to do it but i just thought id do what was tested and proven?

I just want to get it right, thanks.

What turn fin should i get? I was thinking the medium 68mm turn fin from kintec or possibly an upgraded ul-1 turn fin?

Also do i need a nut on the inside of the sponson to attach the turn fin? Just wondering incase i need to put in the turn fin before i seal the hull.

Why does no one put a turn fin a both sides? just wondering, haha and learning

Turn fin on one side because a hydro only turns one direction.
What a hull looks like on top has nothing to do with how the actual running surfaces of the hull were designed and manufactured.
Is there a difference between a red cavalier and a red corvette? Both gm and both red so must be the same car right?
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Why do they only turn one direction? Just for racing? Can i put 2 fins if i want, will that greatly affect it?

Anyway i completely know that, but often if they are similar enough in shape and size, or practically identical in my case, its hard to have completely different under surfaces, or rather handling characteristics.

Compare a rolls royce phantom and hongqi hqd, they look the same, same size, handle the same, practically the same... look it up. But one is a completely different company. I do get your point though, ive gotten over that now im simply asking other questions. Thanks

hydro's have smooth turns to the right (or left i forget) and when they turn the opposite direction, it is bouncy, rough turn, they can roll from turning the wrong way
putting two turn fins will make the rough, bouncy turn in both directions. you can put one if you want but it won't be very smooth in the turns

See thats all i needed to know, thank you. So would the fin go on the right side orleft? I think its the right..

Here are some pics of the CF. Pretty happy for my first time, a few hiccups but not bad.

Finished all the CF, looks pretty good.

Now i need some doublers and ill order a turn fin and then some hardware. Goin with a wire drive on this one and ill put the motor right under the (fake) air intake, or maybe a bit further forward.

IMO, you'll be VERY disappointed with how this hull runs at anything over ~20mph. The ride surfaces were never designed for faster speeds at all.

If you want an affordable hull that will run well with the motor/esc you have, have a look at these:

Light travels faster than sound, so people may appear to be bright until you hear them speak.

The fin goes on the right
You might want an air dam (i think this was mentioned earlier) since this hull is designed for high lift at low speeds.
