    MHZ Lizard Xtreme

I have decided over the winter months to build this hull. Initially I was looking at another cat hull and then realised I did not have a rough water, high wind hull. After some research I settled on this hull for sport/offshore.

It will have Speedmaster hardware, OEMRC or CC120 esc, .150 Hughey, Y537/3, 5 or 6 cell LI-PO 5000 25C, 11XL, to start with. Any other suggestions or comments?

Way to go there Douggie sweet hull. Are you considering a KB? For a foul weather hull the extra weight would help out. What exactly are the specs on that hull? Also what's the layup like?

Tom, I thought about a KB45 and I have a spare 14L, but I want to try this combo first. The hull is in transit and I will advise layup upon receit.

      The Lizard Xrteme is a very deep V hull...32.3"L X 9.5"W

          great looking hull, nice choice.
i would run a lehner 2250 in that on 6s just for the hell of it.
mind you it could run as E2 or P mono as well depending on the hull shape
Personal choice would be a 2240 or a Neu 1521 on 4s2p with a hydra 240. prop on the Neu would be 47 on up

Ok then you KB45 choice would work out just great
i had a buddy who ran the 1700 K version in a titan 40 ( heavy ass hull!) and it boote'd close to the Neu power'd boats.
i think he ran a 51 MM or maybe larger, I will ask him for you

I know they are amp hogs though so be sure to get a nice controller

The interesting thing, I believe this a very light hull and that led me to my first power option.

                  Thanks,

                  Douggie

yes light is good but sheer volume of the hull is a factor as well
because there is a lot of surface area on that hull that might be a contributing factor.

Douggie is that the Extream or the first version? Hey look what I found..@ 65 bucks it's a little spendy. I'd blow the cash on it just to have everything nice and neet :).

Tom, it is the Xtreme and I did note this motor mount. I went with Steven's new adjustable mount .

I received the hull today and it is top notch. The only complaint would be it is a hull that requires either a lot of polishing or painting to look great. A lot of swirl and no shine. This also came in an orange finish not white as I was led to believe when I phoned MHZ/USA prior to ordering. Oh well, a painting I will go and yes SJFE the wifey will be upset!
