well i tryed it again and i did a signal test on land and i was able to go real far away no prob but while running i couldnt go very far from me and after afew seconds it would actup, like one side not spining at the same speed and it would run then not, then run then not??? i dont no whats wrong.. http://vimeo.com/29928675 and the second try http://vimeo.com/29929390

Phone won't let me watch, ill get on the computer in a bit. Double check all connections on that side if that doesn't do it, switch you y harness around and see if it moves to the other side. I've seen that before. Check both escs are set the same. Those ettis are a b sometimes. I've mis set mine a couple times and not known it until I reprogrammed and problem went away. Also switch sides with packs.. se if one makin it hit lvc

Hay Scot,, have got to see the vids yet, do you think i should switch over to using the proboat 2.4 controller at least the rx has antannas,, or do you think it has nothing to do with the Tactic 2.4 im using.. worked great on land testing!!!

Yeah I did but I'm not sure its the radio. While going slow it seemed to be fine and had range. As soon as you tried to get on it it seemed it would crap out. Unless I saw it wrong, that's what it looked like. Did you reprogram the escs yet? What's the lvc set at?

Have not reprogramed it yet cuz i cant run again till this weekend but i thought i had them both set for 5s and yes you saw it wright, once i started to get up some speed she freaked out,, i did notice that after first seting the throttle when i first hooked up the batts the motors turned insink but after it would do its thing in the water i would get it close to shore to see it in the water and the prop on the left would be late turining when i hit the throttle,, now when i first got it out there i could only get all the way down one way and it would die and as i got closer it would come back and then do its funny running thing,, i was thinking maybe it would loose signal then after i got close and it picked up again then the motors had lost there seting..

Jerry: I see you don´t have an external antenna. I know carbon is really though to get signals through. It may work on your geico since it´s glassfiber. Could this be the reason you loose the signal?

when you tested your radio on land. was the canopy off? or was it on?

Hello - I am borrowing a Tactic TTX-240 tx and a TR-324 rx hooked it up Monday in my boat to run with some friends and I had the same problem. It would get about 50 yards away and start cutting out. I think it must have something to do with the water reflectivity and some antenna less receivers. I read some article online about why they designed the marine band rxs with the dual phase Intenna. My pond beHind my house isnt super large so we just stood kinda in the middle and the problem seems to go away. I had/have a pro boat TX and Mr200 rx (waiting on a replacement) and I can run the Boat out of sight ( around the Horseshoe ) about 250 yards with no problems. Next time out I will keep an eye on it. For whats it worth.

I agree guys but when i tested it on land i had the hatch on but not bolted down and my bro watched the boat while i walked away and about 30 feet it still worked but he said he heard one of the motors doing some beeps but still worked so i kept going and about every twenty more feet one motor would do some beeps but would still work??? i still have my brand new 2.4 proboat from my MG but i didnt want to have an antanna sticking up to get torn off in a flip!!! O yes i will flip it!!!

Hehe I have ripped of the antenna 3 times now. So I have stocked up on antennas :)

You can try swapping radios ut I still think its an esc or connection problem. Fyi I ran my pb 2.4 antennas inside with my hull and hatch carboned and had zero issues.
