so i put a tacon 3674 1900 kv motor in there. runs better and no rpm loss in turns swinging bigger prop. my question is...can this motor handle 5s

I dont see why it wouldnt.................thats only only 35k at nominal which is what it will run at under full throttle. If it were mine i'd slap 5s in it no prob.............

Yeah sounds safe... Would you disable the bec?

I would NOT run 5s with the AQ ESC, a T120 or T180 will handle it.....................SF120 too.

I'm using seeking 120. Just ordered two 5s packs....

I got the thought that you were using a 60a AQ ESC from the only pic you posted of the innards which had a AQ ESC in it, and the fact that you never mentioned any other ESC....................

just an update on my boat. gps is at a consistant 48mph and very stable. i think i can break 50 with this boat. i should mention im running leopard 3674 1700kv 5s2p 40c and seaking 120. the prop i like best is a grim 40/52/3 so far mainly because it doesnt torque roll like it does with the 2 blade props. its very smooth and stable, i think im gonna try x440/3 next. its got a little more pitch.i know the titan says the hull willl max out at 45 but i think she can do 50 no prob.

I was told by many people that it'll flip at speed over 50mph, being new, I figured I could get around this with the extra weight and a higher cog, I was wrong, they were right. After paddling out to retreive the boat after a double backflip, I opened it up to see the gps saying 53 mph. I'm much happier now and she's a lot more fun with 5minute run times at around 48-50mph.
