Tacon 5050kv brushless motor; Feigao 380 XL water jacket; Etti water cooled 380 motor mount; Motor coupler, .130 flex cable stepped down to a .125 prop shaft courtesy of Jeff Wohlt; Seaking 60A ESC; Traxxas waterproof rec. box with Traxxas 2.4ghz rx/tx; Traxxas 2056 high torque waterproof servo mounted with a OSE carbon fiber/aluminum mount with Futaba 1.0'' long servo arm; Dubro 2-56 linkage push rods with ez connector and kwik-link.
Set of OSE small adjustable turn fins; Speedmaster 1 1/2'' x 1 1/2'' adjustable trim tabs; unknown strut and rudder setup from HobbyKing with water pickup; OSE aluminum bulkhead with 1/4 water tubing followed by 7/32 water tubing (except for the motor; two OSE small "Y" style water fittings; Octura x431 plastic prop is just for starters till I find which of my other size props mesh the best. Others include Y531 plastic prop, Y534 plastic prop, X435 brass prop, M435 3 blade brass prop X632 brass prop.
Since the hammer was design to be a sub-surface drive I heated the brass tubing to change where the prop sits and can make slight adjustments to the angle.
Boat was stripped down to bare fiberglass because when I bought it the gelcoat was cracked at the largest part vee at the bow and water got inside. This is however different from most forums I've read because after re-glassing the hull in 6oz fiberglass ( to add extra weight and rid the hull of any seams) I primed it, painted red (two light coats), and wrapped it in Hangar 9 Ultracote polyester shrink. One light coat a of acrylic and clear lacquer mix (Testors) and finishing with 2 light coats and one heavy of clear gel coat.
Added a waterproof toggle switch to turn power off to rx. Time to choose lipo setup hopefully added weight with improve my power options. Thanks, Madgadget, Jeff Wohlt and OSE forums all are very knowledgable and wheather they know it or not helped me with this conversion. Next up will be a vintage Dumas deep-vee cf 20 conversion.
