    Bonzi 54" Fountain ((Update))

Just thought I would show you guys what I have been up to with the boat.

For those that don't know this project you can see it from the beginning here......

    http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ad.php?t=19648

First, I have been so busy with work I haven't been able to play with the boats much. I got the wrap from monojeff and finally got the Castle Hydra 240 ICE ESC's. Well I have had the ESC's for over 2 weeks but I just got around to messing with them.

The wrap was a little tough to install, there are some flaws and a few bubbles on the tight curves by the rub rail that I just can't get out. This is just a big boat with lots of tight curves. But overall I love the wrap. Looks much better than a plain white hull and a hell of a lot cheaper than a custom paint job.

Now the finished inside, minus the batteries. Man I love these ICE ESC's, so easy to program with the Castle Link on the computer. And I have the quick plug in things so I don't have to unplug anything to connect them to the computer.

I am anxious to see how the data logging works. I'm going to run it this Sunday and see how it does. I have to imagine much better than the Sea King 180's, those things were problems from the start.

At 54" long, its pretty easy to keep it clean and roomy. Chris builds some amazing boats. That Scarab SS is one of my favorites on the forum.

You now what I mean. ESCs out of the way, wire loom, water lines hidden. Just very nice looking all around. I have followed his builds, good stuff for sure!

Yeah this boat is huge inside so its easy to hide all the wiring. Even with the 4 batteries in there its still looks huge inside. I can almost put the Scarab inside this boat.

This boat is big and fast but the Scarab Sport is still my favorite.

Yeah I'm a little anal when it comes to the wiring. Its all secured under the lip as well as the RX. I also changed all the water lines to black so they blend in.

OK guys.......friggin WOW!!!! These new Castle Hydra ICE 240's made a huge difference. I'm sorry to all you guys that like the Sea King or T180's. I'm sure they are good ESC's but not for the kind of power these Leopard 5692's are pulling.

This boat is a night and day difference now. Before with the Sea King 180's I was lucky to be able to get a full throttle run out of the boat without at least one ESC shutting down.

Now.......WOHA! Its almost like there is all new power in the boat. But all thats new is the ESC's! And at 300 bucks a pop its worth it.

And dayum!!....The data logging on the computer is awsome! It shows the RPM of the motors, the amp draw, the temp of the ESC and a ton of other useful information....what a fantastic ESC!! I'm glad I waited for these. Even though I ended up with three of them. So if one takes a crap I will have a spare.
