Hello All

Here is my JAE FE Build.
I want to Thank Doug Smock, Kent Seal for there awesome JAE Riggers that
I downloaded pictures to get the proper way to set up a JAE from.
Also Tino Almanza for Mo-Knowledge.

JAE FE Build-01
Shows the .125 thick Carbon Fiber Motor Mount and the .125 Ply
Glue plates for both sides fresh off the CNC machine.

Shows the parts weighing at .8 of an Ounce

JAE FE Build-03
Shows the stock Motor mount weighing in at 2.2 Ounces.

Parts above all assembled into hull with motor mounted.

Line up tube shown with access to motor screws. Screws require a needle
nose pliers to get them in place, but then they go in pretty easy. Motor mounting
took less than a minute to install all 4 screws..

Carbon Fiber Strut / Rudder back up plate and the Plywood back up plate
That will install inside the hull.

Brass Tube installed into transom for waterproof seals to attach to.

My CNC Laydown Servo mount with Carbon Fiber hold down pressure plate.

I will after paint use the Aquacraft radio box seals inside and out onto
the brass tube.

Water line installed and secured with Ni-chrome wire.

Here I could not get the collars I wanted so I used 2-56 x ¼”
Flat head screws to hold the sponsons in place.
I drilled half way through the solid carbon fiber tube and used a flat
bottom tap to thread the boom tube.
It was a pain but it is very strong.

Cheers for the pics of your boat,, very interesting, looks to me like these boat builders are building stuff with an interest in keeping weight down,,,what length is this boat and what kind of speeds do you estimate?

In reference to the servo mount,, carbon/ply and the engine mount.. carbon/ply.. are these items you made or were supplied by JAE?? Love their simplicity and quality,,,just fantastic, the combination of timber and carbon is great,,,kinda like old materials and new materials combined,,,,,

Any updates yet. I would like to use a similar style motor mount in an upcoming build. I have a sheet of cf I'm trying to find a use for. Let's see some more pics. Maybe a vid.
