    Blackjack on 5s

Running a stock Blackjack motor and 45 amp esc. Do I need a BEC to run 5s with this combo ? Can't see myself ever going to 6s, in fact, will mostly be running 4s with an X642 until my sons show up with their rocketships. If I do need a BEC what would you recommend, a battery pack or the Castle kit ? The guy at my LHS tells me the Proboat esc's are grossly underrated. Anyone have any comments on that ?

I've been running two 5s 4000mAh in parallel in my BJ26, no issues. I'm not using a separate BEC, just using the stock BEC. I haven't thought to measure the voltage, but I guess I should just to be sure. It runs fast on that setup and goes for a very long time, maybe 20 minutes?
