    Modded Apache 24

Started with a bare Apache hull off Ebay. This is my first attempt at modding a boat from reading what others have done on these forums.
Black Jack motor, ESC and nitro hardware.
I know I'm not the first to do this, so what should I expect so far as speed and handling with an Octura Y535 prop & (2) Turnigy 2 cell Lipos.

I have run that motor in a similar sized cat with pretty significant torque roll, might want to weigh down the port side.

Speed with that prop? I would venture a complete guess at 23-28mph. could be way off, but that is my gut feeling.

Handling? don't know, I have seen/heard about a lot of porpoising with that hull, have to try it. I would suspect handling to decrease as speeds increase...

Why not post some pics so we can see what you are up to?

true, but more prop = more torque roll... see what she does as is, video it and then we can re-assess.

Oops, forgot which boat we scavenged the motor from. Starting out with the smaller prop until we get the handling dialed in, then will likely get the "itch" and prop it up. Pretty sure this thing will be a handful, but it did make the MI winter go by a bit faster.

An x637 may be a winner for that boat....................
