    h&m No Step 2

this is a hull i got here on the swap shop cheap. did the regular cf floor, polished hardware and set it up with a pro boat motor. i have a no step 1 and love it so when i saw this one cheap i couldn't resist. i didnt put a flood chamber in it as it is a mild set-up and i probablly wont use it much, just filling the hole between 23" and 29" in my collection.

here are a few before and after shots. i am into it for $80 hull and hardware and $40 motor. everything else i had around the house, granted i did use a new $30 servo, $75 esc, $20 flex and $15 motor mount. still a pretty cheap build..

Very nice, Chuck. What kind of paint is that nice green you've been using. I think it would look slick on my Maritimo!

i get it from the auto paint supply house. it is automotive paint that they put in a spray can. it is "nason" brand but i just picked the color from a dupont chart and they mix it up. i picked it when i was building nitro jae's because it is fuel proof and have just stuck with the color. now i can just call them and tell em make up a few cans and swing by to pick it up. they know me as the "toy boat guy". it cost me about $18 per can but is well worth it. it is well worth it because it is tough and more importantly dries to handle in about 1 hr. the white is rustoluem epoxy appliance paint.

I like to how the color changes from yellow to green.
It looks good.Thats a good idea getting the paint in a can.

you like that hun.. the only thing is i cant figure out how to get it to change back.

i ran it today and didnt go as planed. it ran good but the water line at the exit through hull busted and filled up with water. i only got about 2 minutes on it. after that i tool all the electronics out to let them dry. i started with a 215 prop and it seemed to be just what i expected and wanted, right around 40mph. drove really nice for no set-up. i will get it dried out and back together to do a little more testing and maybee loosen it up a bit.. overall i was happy with the starting point but not so happy with the water.
