I do have some video, bbut not fast internet where I´m now. Maybe tomorrow, monday at the latest.

Cant be sure if the gps is correct, need to do another run today.

The esc´s are the same so most likely the motors are the reason for possible speed increase

Tried the propshop props and the limit for the escs is reached.bit high temps but 75kph was reached.
back to the plastic props for now. video later today.
motors were also hot, could only hold my finger 2-3 sec. until i smelled bacon... -this was after 2 minute run.Batteries were also pretty warm.

              Lol, thanks m8.

I hope I can afford better esc´s next summer, thinking 10-11s lipos... should go decent speed then.

But the strut angle is still a bit low, should go over 80kph with simple adjustment of the struts.

It really handles great, turns at wot are easy and no fear of flipping it.

She seems balanced perfect m8,i know how well these run when setup right and your def on the money so far.10 s lipo she would def be the fastest so far with that setup ,fastest so far with gas power is 59.5 or 6 lol.I think 10s would be well over that but im no expert on electric.Keep up the good work im enjoying your videos thanks for sharing.

Hi, I'm a newby that's one cool apache your boat rocks!!! I've got an apache 57 hull which I bought off and I'm installing twin kb45 8xl 1600kv motors but seeing your boat Fly, I should have purchased the same motors which you have. Any tips on choosing props for the twin kb's?? I've also got twin SS 200a boat esc and twin 6s 8000mah lipos from hobbyking as well.

                  Cheers & Happy Boating

                    Hi, and thanks!

Honestly, ...I´m sorry but the 1600kv is way too much for this sized boat. -if you must try it, start with ~45mm props (and that could be too smal to get blades wet and moving the boat at all). -30sec test first, if everything is ok, then 1 minute and so on.

Do you have plans of watercooling the motors? -I use outrunners and they are air cooled but kb.s are inrunners and could need extra cooling.

I have the ss air esc´s atm, they are the same as boat series, but different software(more timing).

For sport running at around 40mph using 57mm props the electrics did stay cool on my boat, but I have 910kv motors. I really think that you should get new motors for it, belive me I know how hard it is to get burned esc smoke and smell off the hull(if it wont burn the boat first)...

But I understand that you want to try it so start with small props and short runs.

I agree you need lower kv motors.

I have to agree about the twin KB's...............not very efficient to start with and run HOT. Together they may put out half of what a Leopard 5692 does wattage-wise, so dont expect any big speed. Start with the smallish props.

could not drive the boat today... weird motor issue. It spins kinda jerky/studders and wont go full throttle at all. When I pulled the wires slightly is awakes... opened the motor and no visible shorts or anything else...

Maybe the coating on the wires is coming off and shorting it? -need to think what to do with it.

could be a bad connection, when one wire is unplugged it does about as you described, check if the solders are good.

Checked the solders...everything fine(like they should be, (Glad I have soldered so much in my time so it is kinda impossible to do bad job at it... Anyways... -)took the motors apart, EVERY wire had direct contact with the front end where the wires go in.(not the whole time, but when the wires got moved they shorted into the can) re-routed the wires so one wire comes out of one hole and 2 from another.Originally they all came out the same hole and they rubbed the plastic coating off the wires somehow so glad I solved this in time! Now there is new shrinktube on every wire and so fas so good...will test drive later today.

That shorting issue must be the reason why one motor draw only 2500mAh and another 4500mAh last time I drove this.

That's a great idea. Also, where the motor wires come out of the motor, adding some silicone to absorb the vibration will help. I try to do this on all of my builds as I've had similar issues with other motors that allow the winding wires out of the motor instead of using stranded.
