    Fastest RTR Build Challenge

Ok guy's, It's time to have another Fastest RTR build challenge. First up, we all know that there was an AQ SV27 Challenge over at Rumrunner and a few other place's, but it seems that it may have fizzled out after a couple months went by. So I would like to present another Challenge between four RTR boat's of my choice and let everyone choose between two before we start the challenge. If we can all agree on one Hull that would be great, but if we can get everyone interested in this, two RTR hulls will be fun. After we have video's and GPS run's, Member's can also compare between the two hulls.

    ---RULES AND REGULATIONS---

    ---GPS and Video---
I think everyone knows the basic wrap on doing the video of their speed pass and how to start the video with the GPS cleared of the last Max Speed, Trip, Moving AVG, and other data before Recording. Please clear the setting's, and take video of the GPS cleared and ready to go, do not stop and edit any of the video for music, slow motion ect. After the pass, keep recording as you bring the boat in and show your last Maxspeed.

    ---Hull and Hardware Configuration---
In this Challenge, we will be running (ONLY) factory Hull's and Hardware that is included with the RTR boat. The hull is not to be cut down, sanded, or modified in anyway. The factory Hardware is not to be cut down or re-arranged on the hull. (One exception, the Proboat Miss Geico rudder can be modified to bolt to side of the strut as many member's have already done this) Strut adjustment is allowed, along with trim tab's(if Mono is used) and turn fin's. Last but not least, MOTOR MOUNTING, the Hull has to use the stock motor mount, and mounting location from the factory.

    ---Motor/ESC---
In this challenge, member's can choose any brushless upgrade motor that is available on the market along with the ESC. The motor has to be a direct bolt up to the stock motor mount and mounting location, without cutting or drilling any optional mounting hole's.

    ---Prop's---
Flex shaft's can be upgrades along with prop size and pitch. You may change the stock Motor collet.

    ---Lipo Battery's---
Battery's can be used between 2-8s Only

Here are the four RTR choice's to choose from. We need to make a decision on the which two Hulls can be used in the challenge. Please feel free to start posting at any time, and Help decide on which two hulls should be used. Please post up your choice. Please don't feel you have to rush, this need's to be a long and fun thread build between everyone.

Not really sure how this could be called the Fastest RTR when you are saying different motors and esc can be used but no modifying any thing else?
that does not make it a true RTR in my opinion
but for starters how about a 65mph UL-1 with stock motor and esc..
    .NAMBA20...Caterpillar UL-1, P-Spec OM29, P-Mono DF33, P-Spec JAE, Aussie 33" Hydro-LSH, Sprintcat CC2028 on 8s, PT SS45 Q Hydro, PS295 UL-1 power, OSE Brothers Outlaw QMono 4-sale, Rio 51z CC2028 on 8s

I agree RTR is RTR and thats how it should be ran, all tunning using common power., ie 4s up to a predetermined MAH. That way you see which RTR really shines in the hands of the best tuners. Anyone can simply over power a hull.IMO

Basically the fastest RTR hull. Not RTR form. Can We just have some fun with this.

not really a challenge in my opinion
just over powering a hull is all, and for SAW type runs
anyone can over power a hull to top speeds, but the real challenge comes with tuning with the factory power

anyone could buy a Spartan, take out the esc and motor, slap in a NEU 1527 and run it on 10s!

I guess I didn't get it through the first time, This to see who can make the fastest RTR (HULL) before it take's flight. The UL-1 hull can be pushed faster than the stock motor and esc can do in tuned form. I don't think the UL-1 would have went any faster than 65 with modified prop and tuning. Need more power.

Uh, Ok let me see if I understand. Go out and buy a 300-400 dollar boat, then gut it out and stuff, lets say a $1000 dollar bill in it to see if it flies. Oh well have fun! I guess I don't get it.
IMO Tuning basics would be a better way to go but its not my money.

in the mean time when I get my AQ Cat, I'll do my best to tune it, and chase you down Rod in some offshore racing
