Hello everybody! I'm new to posting on the OSE forums. I've been looking around a bit and think I have a good combination. But, I wanted to see what you guys thought.
This whole thing started with a toy rc boat, 6 cell, I thought was fun. So I sifted through the internet and found OSE and the forums. Thanks for all the great information you guys offer! Especially reddywatts! The forums lead me to the SV27 for a good "first buy" boat. Great decision!
It's wintertime now; time to upgrade. I looked through the forums again and decided I need at least a 33" boat. I almost bought a DF33, but just couldn't go the easy route. So, I decided to extend my SV27 to make it into an SV33 (pics attached). Sorry about the size, I did shrink them.
I'd like to be in the 60s, with 5-10 minutes run time. With that in mind I'm looking at:
Leopard 4082, 1500kv/rpm (looks like a good powerful motor). A Neu 1527 is not out of the question (do I need that much motor)?
Turnigy 180A ESC, and
Turnigy 5000mah 30-40c batteries. I'm thinking 6S2P.
Can I get there from here? I don't race, just like to have fun.
Oh, and thanks for the addiction!
