    to build or not

    Hey all new guy here . ive got a 5' v hull i acquired thru trading for this and that . its never been touched and wanted to know were to start . ill get some pics later but its 5' long 15" wide and 10" deep . i dont have a cockpit cover for it so ill have to fab something up if i cant find one. im just wondering if this is going to very expensive if i should just sell or trade for something running smaller thanks Rob

                What kind of water/lake? Small, smooth water, rough, other sport boats running on it, ocean?

                    Definitely start with something smaller. It would get pretty expensive to get it running top-notch, of course you could go for cheaper electronics and stuff, but the cost would add up either way.

                    Even if you did have the cash to build the big hull, for your first FE build you should go for something smaller. I started with an SV27 and it's a great boat. It runs fine out of the box, but with some upgrades here and there, you can get it running at over 50mph. There's lots of things to upgrade and learn on, that's why I think it's a great boat.
                    SV27 w/ Ammo 2300 / Stock ESC || Pursuit w/ Leopard 4074 2200kv / SeaKing 120a ESC || MHZ Drambuie on Ice w/ 2x Schulze 4.160wk's / 2x Neu 2215 1.5y's
