If you search on here you can find all the info without going into great detail as I'm responding on my iPhone not my laptop otherwise I'd post the link, but ray fullers site, fullers fast electrics has some good illustrations last I knew as well...

On another not what are you powering it with? That would be a great hull for a $70 castle/neu 1717!

I think he is very correct... Don't use it... I had a 1521 in my df33... Good setup... A castle/neu 1520 would work ok as well... 1717 would be ideal IMHO ... With a turnigy/seaking 180 is what I would use...just cause I've had such great luck with those esc's as well... They have a 360 amp burst rating as well... Is your 1515 a castle/neu or a straight neu? Either way list it in the swap shop it will sell in a hurry...

the 1515 is a castle motor and the esc i have is the swordfish 200 amp low voltage the 1717 would run good on this esc huh?

Yeh that esc should be fine... Just as long as it doesnt suffer what some folks are talking about Involving that particular speedo where after you let off the throttle it takes a second or two for the throttle to actually "back off" kinda scary with a big mono that doesnt wanna stop... I love the turnigy/seaking 180's they have been absolute bulletproof for me... I'm sure the swordfish is good too and will work well just would want to make sure when you let off the throttle the boat immediately responds ...

You can use this boat which runs great as a guide, it is bigger but the idea is the same In mine I have the rudder about 2.5" from shaft centre

Many fe'ers run 2p 5000mah lipo's in that size boat, should be fine as long as your discharge rate is rated 30% more than what your motor will will draw.

OK so your packs will put out 180 amps constant with both of them. A NEU 1515 can spike up around 160 amps. You should be ok. The higher discharg rate the more your esc will like it.

there should be no problem, I use 2 6s 3300 mah 35c. Just check the height of the packs if you are going to place them on the sides
