    FE scale boat muahaha

ok guys I got this from a buddy some of the scale guys have tried to make them Fast but they are doing it with the scale submerged drives I am going to put a single surface drive in it and dual rudders with a big leopard motor.

here she is the lights work and so does the siren but I am putting a bigger speaker in it. I am also adding more lights back aft

drives and rudder that I am going to rip out

    lots of room

Awww man thats to nice to tear apart for extra speed. I would leave the scale straight shaft inboards. You can get speed out of those shafts. I already see the props on there are for a surface drive.

That baby needs some nice size BL motors and small diameter 3 or 4 blade props.

          Thats awesome!!
The room in that thing is amazing. You can get your hands anywhere with ease to work on something. What size and kv motors are you planning? Will it still be twin drive?

If you're going to run SLA batts (24v) keep the weight back.

Please keep the submerged shafts. Too nice to rip apart. Add some modern brushless power systems and you will be good to go.

How fast you thinkin? much more than 25 and it could be hard to turn w/o rolling. Dad has one and it has gotten pretty hairy at speed. I will be interested to see how this comes out - you may get it right and with lights... super cool!!

I doubt a stinger is going to work on that boat! You need submerged drive. Why not run a single motor and gearbox or belt drive to the two shafts? You can get some pulleys and cogged belts here:

They will need to be pretty beefy. That big Leopard will strip em right out if you get on it too quick.

if its still hairy at speed and wanting to roll over I will mod the aft portion of the hull.
