I have a brand new 30 mm and 32 mm carbon prop I can send to you free of charge for your testing. Just give me your address and they will be in the mail today to you. Theses are pretty good Tenshock carbon props and both have a 46 pitch so that should make them about 1.4 as you mentioned you wanted. I also have a new 27 mm and would be happy to throw that in also if you think you could use it in your comparison testing.

I love to see these scratch builds but have always wondered how you finish them off. Do you just seal and paint over the wood?
The boat looks great!!Comment

Iv just recently started using glass cloth,so ill explain what i do
Once put together and final sanded i use a brush on sealer, once dry give it a a sand down, keeping an eye out for any bits that might need filling etc that you missed.
Once sanded i then drape over the glass cloth over the bottom of the hull and leave for a couple of hrs to settle,i then start at the middle of the hull carefully brushing the resin over the glass cloth in a dabbing motion trimming and making any cuts where needs be,keep going till all done up and around the sides to the top deck makeing sure iv got more than enough cloth, now leave to dry, turn the hull upright and trim of the excess cloth and dab some more sealer round the egdes of the cloth, allow to dry and then i carefully sand the egdesso that they are nice and neatly finished. Then start the process again on the top deck.
Once all done i then lightly sand it down then give a thin coat of sealer again, allow to dry then again lightly sand it down and clean throughly once settled after 24hrs it will be ready fro primer, for this i use a filler primer and give it several good thick coats leave to harden for a minimum 24hs,then lightly mist the whole hull in black (marker coat),let it dry then once dry sand with 600 wet and dry till all the marker dissapears and is all nice and smooth,if any of the marker remains youll know these area have defects, pin holes etc, repair these areas and lightly coat in primer again then flatten it all in 800 wet n dry till all nice and smooth, clean down throughly and leave for 24hrs to fully cure,re clean it all down and its ready for top coats/colours.
Its alot of work but well worth it when the results come out like this:
