    Sprint Cat 40 Twin Build

    Putting together a Sprint Cat:

This build was inspired by RumDog's twin SprintCat (I hope I have as good a result!).

34.5 inch hull, 4 inch rails, carbon reinforced, with the "Classic" hatch.
    CC 1518 motors (1800kv) and 6S = 40,000 rpm
    or
    CC 1520 motors (1600kv) and 6S = 35000 rpm
I just bought the 1520's at 20% off !! Now I have both sets of motors to experiment with.
X442 Counter rotating or x447 counter rotating props.

Built custom 3/16 inch to 5 MM square motor couplers.
Built custom water cooled motor mounts (they bolt to the rails, so no fiberglass work).
Built custom "stingers" that fit tight to the tunnel. They are non adjustable, but I built the mounting flange thick. If I need to add positive or negitive, I can cut in the angle on the thick flange. Check out the Flex tube mounting. The tube is soldered to a fitting on a long mounting angle plate. The tube is mounted to the inside of the transom. Again, no fiberglass work to mount the flex tube.

The motors mount in the sponsoon.
The batteries will mount in the sponsoon, over the drive tube or outside of the drive tube. With the batteries and motors low and outside, I expect the boat will corrner well.

      More pictures.

The batteries will sit almost against the transom and will result in a 11 inch CG.
