Darin I am seeing the ride pads extend shightly past the hulls end. Would I be wise to copy this when I do mine?
Yes... Just a tad, though... Just enough to allow the water to break free of the hull cleanly... If you can leave the pads overhanging the non-trips as well (sides of the sponsons), that would be good too... Don't worry, it won't trip on these, and it will help the boat corner with more speed... I got an earful of this kind of advice from someone I trust to know... so once you get started, we should talk on the phone and I'll try to let you know what I know about making the hull work better... But it sounds like you are on the right track...

Thanks Darin :D I'll PM you my digits here in a bit. I was checking out the extended surfaces inside the front of the sponsens and on the nose. This mix of hydro and aerodynamics is fascinating. I eat this stuff up.
Nice Retro fit, and you are doing a great job I watched some of your videos nice fast boats I am looking forward to seeing a video of your maiden voyage!
I live in northern Calif. but our company "Unity Electric" does buisness in Renton, and in the surrounding areas, Have you heard of this company?
Great Job on the retro fit I am excited to hear or watch a video of it running... I know I know you have to wait until the rain quits, Our company does a lot of work in that area (electrical) and we always know what the weather has in store for you guys up in your area! we do all the design work here in Shasta Lake, CA which is about 10 miles from my house. keep us all posted after you get her up and on the water, If it is anything like the videos I have watched of your other boats it should fly!!!
I had a Lawless drive that I received on another tunnel that is being updated right now, so I thought I'd see what the difference in performance was between it and the REK lower. I've completed the FE concenversion and have it all mounted up on my WoodStuff and am heading to the lake in about an hour for the first PSFEMBC practice race/test day of the season... We'll see how she does...
Looks Great, nice piece of hardware, and get a video plus kick some serious butt with that hand made hull, ( gotta keep the intrest up on that kind of stuff) You saw my hand made hull I have been working on I got the hatch built and strightened (it warped during some point in construction) lots of weight and some water and a couple of days fixed it. so now all I have to do is finish sand it and out to the garage for a resin coat yeah buddy!! any way enjoy your race I hope you kill the competition.
Hey Guys... it's been awhile since I've reported on my WoodStuff...
Since I last posted here, I have redone the radio box to make it the full depth of the hull, allowing me to lower the batteries down 3/4" or so. I've also switched to a ProBoat BJ26 Motor and ESC.
I ran the EagleTree in it this past Saturday during the NorthWest Outboard Championship races in Centralia, WA. It's nice to really see what's going on, what effects prop changes have, etc... The chart below is a graph of the speeds and battery temps for the final heat. 1/6th mile course, 6-laps...
