I agree. Take a look at the first link, it has a drawing showing the wires coming out the top. I would think an extra 4mm on the dia. should be fine.

Would the esc's handle those motors? I'm not sure which wind to get.

I'd go with the 1900kv........................4s would be plenty..........you could run a couple of these props - http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...od=dh-aqub9760

Make sure the 40mm jackets arent too wide diameter-wise if you still want to use the cowl. The t120's should handle it fine.

EDIT - just realized those props arent L/R available................you could use Octura x442's they come in L/R rotation.

i have a suggestion for a cowl, i have used a cowl from a proboat blackjack 26 really not the whole cowl just the cockpit maybe you could do the same with a blackjack 55, i assume your boat is 42" i know the bj 55 is larger you maybe able to customize it using to fit your needs

Cool....another twin outboard build. Were there so many outboard builds before I came in here?

I've had this in mind for quite a while now. First I was going to put twin OS 21's on my Dumas Skater, but I just didn't feel like messing with nitro anymore. Then the electric outboards just didn't look right on the Dumas. 2 boats & 3 sets of motors later, this is how my project ended up.

I don't think you'll find right hand cables for the lower unit, but I might be wrong.
Light travels faster than sound, so people may appear to be bright until you hear them speak.

Yeah.............thought about that too, its why i posted the 40/57 first.........then thought he may want counter rotation..........he could fab a right hand cable possibly.

Cables are already taken care of.
