    you'll quack over my build

Well I've been thinking about building a recovery boat for awhile. I could have just used a boat I had but that would be no fun. I then thought about pvc pipe but got turned away from that idea. I was driving home from work yesterday and got a werid but cool idea in my head, I know proboat has this already but mine will be way cooler, let the pics speak for themselves. Its a basic duck decoy, I cut the top off to get to the inside, I installed a proboat blackjack outdrive, cut stuffing tube and flex shaft, just a quick motor mock up to see what I can do.

I was going to put a 20 turn brushed motor in it, but I think with the brushless it will really fly.

But I think I want a higher turn motor becasue I want this to retrive boats. It might not be real stable at high speeds.

it might not be stable at any speed. might have to weight the feet or put a keel

Neat idea! This motor on a 6 cell nimh pack would do well in my opinion.

I vote for brushed, reverse is nice and crawler motors are perfect for retrieval crafts

I've had one years ago. It was good fun.
I installed a brushed motor and an esc with reverse.
At the pond, a mother and kid showed up, but they couldn't see me.
They were looking at the duck, when I was running it backward, in a straight line !
You could see the people thinking : hm, there's something about it, but what ????
                      LOL

Cool project! Saw some decoys in the sporting goods store the other day and had the same idea. Be sure and get some video bro.
