    N3 Sport Hydro

N3 that is right a 8.5 to 10.5 car motor class on 2S lipo no hull over 26 inches. All other rules NAMBA apply. We are going to run it in our local club races. this is my new boat. I find this class to be fun. It does not break the bank and is a challenge to drive. This 21 inch boat has ran 55MPH in rough water. great hull. It is my newset offering a "Mini Zephyer"

Dual ball berring strut Ultra light and Ultra strong rudder.

Water cooled, Air cooled, Water proof ESC.

Ultra light Ultra strong and SAW tested Motor mount.

I am really excited to run this boat this Sunday.

Randy, that actually looks like it would make a really cool 1S boat...

We should get Lipos allowed in the M2 class, and then run the 1S car stuff! Would be pretty sweet...

I like that idea! Sweet I was just telling Will that it would be cool to have M2 lipo class. All we have to do is run it for a year and put it up for a vote.

One of the things I did was to take Conformal coating and brush it on to the circuit board and make it water proof.

Looks to me like a Novak Havoc 1S or Kinetic 1S ESC (or you could also use the 2S version I believe) and a nice 8.5T motor might be interesting...

Lots of smaller Monos and former 6-cell riggers that could work with that power as well.... :D

This setup RTR will weight 2 pounds 6 ounces. I would have to get another ESC that is 1S comparable and the cells. Right now I have no extra money so Iwill ne running the N3 setup.

Ya I have a lot of older hulls to run . The Novak Kinetic ESC I have is not for 1S

Randy, according to Novak... the 2S Kinetic can be used with 1S as well....

            Mr. Jordan,

Yes you can use the 2s for 1s application. You will likely need to use a smart boost or a receiver pack.

Really, That is cool I do have two of them. It would be cool if you guys and a race in Portland I would come up for it, I have a lot of friends I have not seen for many years and would love to go look at my 1947 International 5 ton truck in forest grove.

The Novak Kinetic is real fussy if you do not water proof it and gets any water on it it will not work. It also voids the warranty.

Kind of funny, since the feature list on the Novak sight says the following:

                # Water-resistant case with a protective silicone gasket

It really gave me fits when it got wet and I read the precautions. I had to pay $89.00 for a new one. But I have got it wet several times since I coated it and no problem. If you get one, do not spray on the coating. Use a brush and keep it off of the connectors for the second circuit board. It will wick up the connectors and it took me about 5 hours to clean to the point it would work.

How do you approximately know where to place that pickup tube behind the prop, always wanted to try one that way.

I have tested it a lot I have been running them since 1991. I like just above the hub of the prop and about 3/4 of an inch away.
