    jet powered blizzard outrigger

been testing now for a couple of days and made a few vids.(thanks to diegoboy)pay no attention that the last vid is over 4 minutes long, diego was making a movie..the first vid to the last is testing to see if it will work..come to the relization that the jet is too small and ive maxed it out for speed..will now order a bigger jet that can handle the brushless..snapped 2 couplers already..

we have one more vid thats not ready yet
not bad for something thats not designed for a jet drive

Nice experiment . I love the area you run in , it would be great to host a FE event in your backyard.

thanks, and i ordered the bigger jet tonight.the brushless wants to open up but cant due to the impeller thats on the smaller jet..and where we run,and i meen diegoboy and me,is the lenght of a football field and about as wide.one on each side of the road.if its windy on one side the other is not.and vice, versa

Wow, looks like fun. Too bad the back sits so low in the water, could you mount your new drive lower somehow? Nice to see something that people said can't be done!

Dirty untill you get the stern up and running dry it will be slow or pulling a lot if amps. How about some fine rear sponsons to helpt this? Something like what is on the blizzard rigger.

                Cool project!

I think the only way you'll ever get it to break free and run out the water is to make some sort of pod that could house the motor/jet assembly...in other words like a sponson that would go down the center/rear portion of the tub allowing it to serve double purpose of lifting the back while still picking up water. It'd just need to be built to a depth of level with the bottom of the front sponsons. That would make it more like a conventional 3 point hydro, as of now its running like a mono with front sponsons...the vids showed them actually out the water.

Interesting project, please though, the above coments are by no means meant to bash, I'm serious about trying the center sponson with the jet set in it...I'm rooting for ya, I wanna see it run like a hydro!

                Good luck

                Trey
