Got mine on the swap shop. I was gonna twin my first one right off the bat but I figured I would run and test a little first. Now I have a single and a twin! I am leaning real hard on a fixed stinger. Cheap and easy and sturdy. Only problem is there is no adjustment. Risky move....FE BOATING: Less like a hobby and more like an addiction!Comment

I think youll be okay. At worst case scenario you have to break the tubes loose and re-epoxy them. Not the end of the world.Comment

Good point. Does everyone agree that neutral or parallel with the sponson bottoms is the best all round position?FE BOATING: Less like a hobby and more like an addiction!Comment

I say go neutral and use a tunnel flap to control the bow (where is the Dr. Evil pinky to the corner of the mouth icon?)"Look good doin' it"

Would that be eeeeviiiilll? I think I will go neutral on em. I will finish turning them out tomorow at work and install this weekend if I have enough Jb weld.FE BOATING: Less like a hobby and more like an addiction!Comment

you can also use epoxy to set the stuffing tubes in - a little less permanent. Must be nice to be able to appropriate company resources according to the correct priority, eh? I say, if you can... you can!"Look good doin' it"

Wont epoxy get gummy if heated too much tho? Yeah work has it's perks sometimes. A 4axis cnc vertical mill comes in handy at times.....FE BOATING: Less like a hobby and more like an addiction!Comment

yes, but how would it get heated unless you used the woman's hair drier on it? the stuffing tubes shouldn't get even warm - unless you did something drastically wrong. that is why it is less permanent."Look good doin' it"

I always use epoxy on my stuffing tubes and have never had a problem.. Not the plunger tube walmart stuff, but the LHS stuff. 2 bottles, mix it w/ a stick.... Plus it looks nicer than a nasty grey blob. (JB weld)Comment

Got my stingers done today and poked a few holes in the back of her. Ran out of time tonight but will get em installed in the morning. Nothing fancy just basics.FE BOATING: Less like a hobby and more like an addiction!Comment
