    Paint question...

    Hey guy, Im touching up my SV and adding some different colors. I've been looking at some old post of painting, and have seen alot or good advice, Im using Enamel paint and haven't seen alot of people using it... I thought enamel it tuff and so far it's coming out good. Just wanna hear some feed back.. Also im gonna be getting a couple ABS boats and remember reading some where, that there's certain paints you CANNOT use... just don't remember what kind to use... i know you can use model type paint, But im thinking about auto parts store, rattle can paint.. Thanks Guys!

    I use Walmarts Krylon paints
    for me they work very well
    my UL-1 was painted with it
    .NAMBA20...Caterpillar UL-1, P-Spec OM29, P-Mono DF33, P-Spec JAE, Aussie 33" Hydro-LSH, Sprintcat CC2028 on 8s, PT SS45 Q Hydro, PS295 UL-1 power, OSE Brothers Outlaw QMono 4-sale, Rio 51z CC2028 on 8s

      I mostly use auto paint but on my micro hydro I used model paint and airbrushed it then put auto clear over it. It was tamaiah (sp) paint. It came out fine though I have not tried to tape the hatch down yet.

        Will enamel paint hurt the ABS??? cause i've already started painting my SV with it..... and it looks great so far, is'nt it pretty tuff??

            Hey Jim, i have'nt been able to find a 1/16th scale engine for my Campbell shovel, did you say Doug might have some?? or do you know another place i can get one.

                      What would the length/width of the engine be for that scale. I have one that's pretty small.

                          Doug Campbell does have them. I have an extra 1/16th Allison and also have full cowls that are vacuum formed for 1/16th
                          If you have the vacuum formed hull kit he made it is bigger than 1/16th scale more like 1/13th scale

                            Ya Jim, it's the ABS kit.. is there a big difference between 16th and 13th with the naked eye??

                              your hull is what 25 inches long? Gary finlays Jones shovel nose plans for 1/16th are 23.5 long so it might look ok
