Stunning work! Must have a ton of money in the custom parts alone.

Wow, that is incredible. The attention to detail is just rediculous. Those cooling fans look like backward EDF's.

The boat is super cool and the Germans always seem to build over the top. Doesn't a fan need an inlet & outlet to work? I could see the fans really helping an outrunner motor, but a fan on an inrrunner motor is just a waist of juice.

Did you ever take a look inside a uptodate Lehner or Plettenberg ?
Both brands offer an option to order a internal coolingfan .
You'd rather have your inrunner stay hot ???????

A fan on an inrunner is NOT a waste of juice!

a fan on an inrunner is great..probably can reduce heat 15-20 degrees and then you add a cooling jacket also and you have a real happy motor

How does a fan work that has an inlet, but no outlet?

it blows air into the motor, through the motor and air gets out at the front of the motor.

I understand that, but he has carbon motor plates blocking the front of the motor.

the vent holes in the new air cooled Lehner motor range are radial for the stock centrifugal fan, that carbon plate wont get in the way.

Thanks, I figured it was something like that. It is hard to tell from the pictures how it exactly works.

This build has set the bar pretty high for quality & ingenuity.

There's one thing I DO hate about threads like this. They all make me realize how little money I actually have, and that the odds of me ever owning something this sweet are VERY VERY slim.

I agree but it is nice to keep your aims high and appreciate what others have and their ability to design and build something as perfect as this. I doubt the terms like "looks good to me" or "I can't see it from my house" are in Christian's reportroir (sp). Sometimes strangulation is the answer. Humour, just kidding don't mean anything by it. His work is amazing and perfect
