HELP! Can't seem to find the leak...

I was hoping you guys could help me find how in the heck I am taking on so much water! I am pretty sure I have checked everything

So this is the result of 60+ mph, a balsa cat with light glass (that probably got sanded through on the corners) and a poorly padded battery. Oh yeah, and some wild aerobatics. My buddy thought the hatch had come off, funny it was still there!

I hope the missing piece is still floating along the shore of the pond when I get back out there..... at least it is painted neon yellow!

Look on the bright side.. your half way there on the twin conversion. Easy motor access.

I was just glad I pumped her full of the foam when I built her! ya gonna fix er up - if I can find the missing piece; that would be sweet. I am not to psyched about patching up, then filling, priming, painting, top coating AND having it match.... I could actually go the tape route,

word to all balsa cat builders/owners: don't underestimate the power of your batteries (ha ha get it.. power ) and that a little padding goes a long way. Tumbling along at 60 mph can cause significant localized force inside the hull - outward! Don't get to feisty with the sandpaper on the corners - they need to be the strongest part.

Maybe you can mount a camera inside the hatch so you can see where the water is coming in when you run it. Sometimes leaks can be very hard to see with the naked eye (like in your case).lol

OUCH Jesse!!! Sad it had to happen to that boat. As far as the leak goes maybe you could find it by holding it under water fully taped up and look to see where the air escapes from--er maybe not. Hope you find your piece Jesse.
