    Anyone running a 29" (.21 size) SprintCat?

I noticed that Aeromarine doesn't list the electric layup of the 36" SprintCat on their website, so I was wondering if they make an electric layup of the 29" hull? Is the layup much lighter than the original nitro one (or lighter at all?)?

I'm thinking it could make a fun 4s boat, and could get a bit more speed out of it than a 25-29" mono.

    Thoughts, opinions?

Go for the nitro layup. Weight will not be a factor. It will be a stronger hull as well. Plus you'll get rails for mounting your motor. They do have the 36", which is actually more like 34.5" in electric layup though. Steve sells them here, but I think he's out of stock. Call up Aeromarine if you really wnat the electric layup.

The smaller Sprintcat will be better for 4 cells though.

I figured the nitro layout in the 29" would be ok. Would a 4074 be overkill in it? I figure it should run low 50's reliably with the 2200kv leopard?

These hulls can take the power! 4074 would be great in the 29". I'd go with the 2000kv for lower amp draw though.

Awesome! I think this will be a better winter build than a DF 26!

Here is a vid of my 34.5" Sprintcat with twins. These hulls Fly! They handle the rough stuff and turns like no other too. http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ad.php?t=14659

Still one of my favorite Vids. Everytime I watch it I wanna build one.

Years ago I knew someone with twin 7.5cc engines in the bigger hull (80/90) and it was SUPER stable and fast. For a while now I've wanted to build the 29" hull with a mild 7.5cc engine (stock K&B), but finding places that are nitro friendly isn't as easy as it was 15 years ago so I figured an electric one would do the job.

I figure the 29" one will run super stable at 60mph with enough power behind it, and give me lots of room to grow when I get bored with the speed. I figure the leopard on 4s will give me low 50's.
