      df 33 leopard

just got some speed and logging today

      df 33
      leopard 4074 1400kv
      6 cell lipo
      x645
      timing 7.5 degree

i did not have my packs fully charged when i gpsed it too 46mph/73,5kmph

      120amps 2400watts

it was running on flat water and it was running a bit wet.

will try same setup but running it more loose with fully charged batts tomorrow.

the leopard motor was very cold! you could not tell it had been used...

        Thanks for the numbers, nice.
the turnigy 180a usually does not make mistakes in the lipo cut off if you set the exact number of cells. I think you should investigate why the lipo cutoff worked before you have any nasty surprises (like fire!). I don't think it is because of the deans (it is preferrable to change to bullets), it is because of
        a) the lipos quality , Which lipos do you use?
        b) cutoff - volt/cell set at?

          todays run

          hello

i set the cutoff too 3volt per cell lipo, and that was the sollution, now it wont cut off, the previous datalogg numbers were incorrect, the numbers are:

          leopard 4074 1400kv x645 6 cell lipo in df33

          120amps 2400watts

this is the numbers every time i hit the throttle and surprisingly the 4074 is cold, i cant feel any heat.

but i still cant get more than 46/73,5kmph why?

i guess its my batteries they are 4000mah 25c so they are on the edge at 120amps. the datalogg shows 19.7volts when i have full throttle that is because i am on the edge on the c rating right? if i had maybe 35c batteries the lowest voltage would be 22volts you think ?

the boat feels real fast i can really tell the difference from the 540xl 1200kv.

maybe if i get som 30-40c batteries i will break 50mph..

That's awesome that your motor is staying so cold in this hull

40c batteries should do it. I like the thunder power batteries 45c/90c burst
