I noticed there is a lot of people reinforcing the bottom of there hulls with carbon fiber mat, is there a reason they are doing this?Comment

Now that I got a new motor mount Im glad I did the CF. Its very strong now. Yet still light!42" Osprey, 32" Pursuit, 26" Bling Rocket (rescue), Blizzard Rigger, JAE 21FE rigger, Hobby King rigger (RIP)Comment

I was told early on these boats (at least the knock offs) will develop stress cracks in the bottom as the fiberglass is not very thick. So I opted to reinforce it. I have a total of two layers of CF down.

Kintec racing is where I got mine, not too expensive and small pieces - I think it was $10 to do one hull and have some scraps"Look good doin' it"

Also interested in doing a flood-chamber too roll the boat. not exactly sure how they are supposed to work. anyone here can tell me how they work i am all ears.Comment

you will not be able to get a flood chamber and 4s in that hull. i have had several of these hulls and built several flood chambers. there is not enough room for the batteries and the amount of weight in water to run 2s x 2 in parallel. the only chance of doing it would be with a rear motor, front centered 4s pack. this hull sits low and would take a fair amount of water weight to make it roll upright. even with that set-up you will have a hard time getting the cog where it needs to be. i ran a 8L with 5000mah 3s centered and even with teh motor all the way back the cog was borderline to far forward.see my fleet: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...hp?albumid=294
