I don't get it. Are you running twin motors? Twin rudders? Are you not sure? For the best performance and efficiency, one of each is the way to go. Shoot for around 30,000 RPM.

Single screw twin rudders just like the one in the video but with 4s and a 11L instead of 3s and a 8L.

I noticed there is a lot of people reinforcing the bottom of there hulls with carbon fiber mat, is there a reason they are doing this?

I was told early on these boats (at least the knock offs) will develop stress cracks in the bottom as the fiberglass is not very thick. So I opted to reinforce it. I have a total of two layers of CF down.

Now that I got a new motor mount Im glad I did the CF. Its very strong now. Yet still light!

Where do you get the carbon fiber matting?

Kintec racing is where I got mine, not too expensive and small pieces - I think it was $10 to do one hull and have some scraps

This one is runnig a Feigao 9L (2731 kV) on 4s Same boat and same setup i am going to do except with a 11L be a little slower..
the guy told me he had NOT run on 4S in his reply to me when I asked him about it. He said he was on 3S in that vid. That is the same video that convinced me to get mine a winter ago

you will not be able to get a flood chamber and 4s in that hull. i have had several of these hulls and built several flood chambers. there is not enough room for the batteries and the amount of weight in water to run 2s x 2 in parallel. the only chance of doing it would be with a rear motor, front centered 4s pack. this hull sits low and would take a fair amount of water weight to make it roll upright. even with that set-up you will have a hard time getting the cog where it needs to be. i ran a 8L with 5000mah 3s centered and even with teh motor all the way back the cog was borderline to far forward.
