I think if some of you guys doubted his claims, a little more tact could have be used. He stated that he was a noob. Instead just jumping on him, I think it would have been more productive to show him the errors in what he was trying to do.
A lot of new guys want the put everything including the kitchen sink into their first builds. They are full of ideas to make theirs faster than everyone else's and they may make claims that may be unrealistic just to get some respect from others in the community. We were all there ourselves. If you doubt his claims, show him the facts or ask questions as to how he arrived at his conclusions. If his calculations are wrong, help him to understand his mistakes. Let's not make this forum a "dogpile on the newbie".

Sorry. This guy isn't the average newbie. He has had a chip on his shoulder since the start. He doesn't accept any helpful input. One thing I cannot stand, more than anything is a liar. IMO, his boat isn't even completed yet. He gave false data, since he admittedly has no data logging equipment. His theory is not plausable let alone the "miraculous misssing article" in FE boats.

If you don't want help, do not ask.
I love helping out the new guy. I tried. Oh well.

i also agree, this guy started off telling us his way was better than the proven techniques all the racers and manufactures use. he would not take advise or listen to anyones reasoning.. then he claims he is some kind of car/heli guru but had to ask questions like what order the 3 wires from the motor go (anyone who has played with brushless knows it doesnt mater). then he followed up with comments like we are inexperienced and he knows it all, to be followed by statements like feigao's & neus are made by the same people. he lost everybodys respect with imposable data readings and then started insulting the people that were trying to help him. i know when i was new i tried to be as honest as i could with gps #'s and what not. i was trying to get help making my boats faster as where this guy was trying to impress us with new technoligies (and i dont know what makes him think we all havent tried more cooling) and proving they work when we said they wouldnt.
i agree with dom 100% but also saw this develop from the start. i think this guys best plan of attack would be to either come clean and admit he was bluffing or go somewhere else for advice. everyone here on OSE has been verry helpfull to me in the past. it would be a shame for this to leave a bad taste in newbee's mouth. be straight with us and we will help with whatever we can.

I liked the part that all the motors were the same..., :) and that we were stupid for buying NEUs..... In fact the neu 2230 and lehner 3060's must come from china too?? :) when he started calling you guys stupid is when I lost any bit of feeling bad for him..... I don't have much tolerance for BS either...

After reading the post of the speed claims. I can see that. I'm still trying to figure out how he arrived at his claims. He may have figured his amp draw by running for a specified time and seeing how much charge he had to put back into his packs. Don't know how he arrived at speed. Maybe if he provides more info. that might be helpful. Certainly could have done without the name calling. I think it would have been better to start off with SV27, UL-1, or BJ26 power and go from there.

If you don't care what anyone thinks why are you posting impossible figures to try to impress people and prove yourself right?

You asked for opinions from people with years of experience, didn't like what you were told and flipped out, now they're assholes?

I say troll too, if he just wanted to gloat he would've just posted the final figures without asking all the questions.

I seen this type of troll many times in the past in my other hobbies message boards. Thats why I got out of the thread when I did.

I to have one of these boats (currently) and I have mine set up fairly decent I think.

But hey if a windshield washer pump made it go 12 MPH faster than I need to put an E-Charger on my car and gain 5,000,000 HP... Maybe if I add a lightning rod to my boat and hook the wires to the battery pack I could get a boost?
